We had been visiting Hilton Head Island for over 25 years before we decided to build on a previously-purchased lot in Palmetto Hall Plantation. We interviewed a number of well-recommended builders before selecting the McVey team. How fortunate for us! Right from our very first meetings with Mike and Larry when we began discussing the features we desired in our home, all the way through working off our post-move-in punch list items, the entire team has been committed to delivering outstanding customer service. We love our new home! The attention to detail on all the custom design features is evident everywhere you look, and it speaks to the quality and value that Mike, Larry and the entire team put into building our home. We were especially pleased when our home was awarded a 2008 Lighthouse Award for best design feature. It is also very nice to hear, as we meet our new neighbors, the recognition that ours is a “McVey home”. In addition, the back-office team made the process of change orders and obtaining ARB and other needed approvals as painless as possible. I wanted to drop you a line to say “Thank You”, and to tell you how impressed my wife and I have been with your “After The Sale Service”! We bought our home in June 2006 in Belfair Golf Club community, as we live in Hong Kong; we have only been able to visit several times since closing. As in any home, you find certain things for a punch list in the first twelve months of living. We were recently at out home for Thanksgiving and New Years. Both visits we found several items that needed attention, both times we called and left messages on the answering machine, as they occurred over the weekend. Both times your office got back with us immediately, and had people stop at the house immediately. In a time when customer service after the sale is viewed as an all time low, your company stands out in our eyes! We have built many homes over the years and haven’t experienced this level of service professional service once. I truly believe your approach to customer satisfaction, will and is, setting you above the industry standards. Congratulations to all of you at McVey…. your service is truly impressive!

Thank you for building our beautiful Lowcountry home. You and your team made our building experience truly pleasant and exciting. Because you were organized and articulate, including a realistic time line for completion, we always knew what to expect.

Every time we made significant selections: flooring, lighting, hardware and plumbing Larry was there for us and really helped expedite the process. Rey’s careful attention to details during construction was invaluable. We also appreciated the entire office staff, calls were returned quickly and questions answered in a prompt manner.

As realtors, Dan and I are in many homes each year and it’s always a pleasure to show a McVey custom home. You have clearly honored your commitment to build us a first-rate custom home in a timely fashion. After you built Dan’s first home in 1999 he knew he wanted you to build his next.
